You really need a lot more detail. This is kind of an overview of everything, but there's so much important stuff missing that it's not really worth reading. To learn this stuff you really need a book for each chapter of this book.

I read a lot that people do not like this book. I like this book. It help me to read befor nex MLT lecture and understand many thisngs. I recomend to buy. Well don written. Of couse it cannot tell you about all aspects of Laboratory buit for MLT programm this book is OK.I gave 5 stars because it is not a problem of the book if professor wants to give extra material to study.Great price. Fast shipping

About the Author
Sally Huss has been an artist and writer all of her life. After attending Occidental College for three years, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Fine Arts. A terrific book for encouraging kids to trust their own instincts!

Another of Sally Huss's wonderful books for children. The Little Leprechaun book teaches an invaluable lesson for all children--that they should follow their instincts and their passions, even when both may be at odds with conventional thinking. This is an excellent lesson for kids of all ages. In reading (and rereading) this book, even young children will learn to trust themselves, follow their hearts, and stand up for their passions. A welcome addition to this series of multicultural books for children.

This is so cute! I love how it teaches all children that its ok to have a favorite color, but there are alot of colors out there too. My grandson loves green, so this book was right up his alley. Letting him see that all colors are beautiful too. I love how his mom made his outfit his favorite yellow color. Made me tear up! Thank you for another amazing story to share with my grandchildren!

About the Author
Bronislaw Malinowski (1884-1942), Anglo-Polish anthropologist, was born in what was then Austrian Poland of a long line of Polish nobility and landed gentry. He was educated at the Polish University of Cracow, from which he received his doctorate in 1908 with the highest honors of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He also studied at the University of Leipzig and later went on to London, where from 1910 he was associated with the London School of Economics. From 1914 to 1918 Dr. Malinowski was a member of the Robert Mond Expedition to New Guinea and North Melanesia, and it was the research done on this expedition that was later published in Argonauts of the Western Pacific. In later years Dr. Malinowski taught at the University of London, at Cornell University, and at Yale University.

Is it Magic or Science or Religion?

Malinowski was a contemporary of Margaret Mead, but worked with a diff3ent set of Pacific Islanders. He discovered that the lines between the three fields were fluid and often overlapped. None of the three fields is black and white, there is a lot of gray at the borders. This is one of the most interesting books I've read. I highly recommend it.

What is the difference?

This is one of the most interesting books I have read. A fascinating book. Mzlinowski was a contemporary of Margaret Mead, but worked in a different island group. This book shows that magic science and religion have more in common than one would think. Malinowski shows how the islanders see the lines between each of the disciplines as being fuzzy rather than sharp.

This book can be incredibly boring because its written with a antiquated, prosaic tone. Malinowski's theories can at times seem transparent and na�ve, but this is what you would expect from a collection of essays written roughly 50 years ago. Car Lovers

This is a great kit for explaining the mechanisms that go into making a car work. It comes with heavy cardboard pieces and plastic bolts and wing nuts that you use to make the various car part. We have made several of these and it really is fun to see the kids "get" it and connect with how a real car works. I would highly recommend this kit for kids that have an interest in cars.

Got this as Christmas gift for my grandson. I also got him Auto Repair For Dummies, How Car Work and a large 8 cylinder plastic model so that he can put together. This way he can get some what a visual and hands on without destroying our cars. He is now my official sidekick when i work on my trucks!

I've been teaching gymnastics for 20 years. I'd acquired a copy of Jerry's earlier book, "Biomechanics of Women's Gymnastics" and found it to contain clear descriptions of how certain skills should be performed, and from those descriptions constructed the mental models I've used to teach these skills. I find that "Championship Gymnastics" does an amazing job of explaining "why" a skill works - a key element in upgrading my mental models and my athletes' performance. By page 65, I decided I'd already gotten my money's worth.

A "Must-Read" for every Gymnastics Coach

Dr. Jerry George is one of the finest gymnastics technicians and teachers in the world. In his book Championship Gymnastics, he breaks down movement technique into key elements that allow the gymnast to go from basic to elite movements successfully. Using this book every coach will get a clear picture of what they need to teach, and what every gymnast needs to understand to perform their best. The detailed illustrations give the teacher, coach, or gymnast a clear picture of the "key" parts of a gymnastics movement (the secret to the recipe) which is often missing. This book is a must-read for anyone involved in gymnastics.

As a gymnastics coach myself for 45 years, from beginners to Olympicv level, I feel Championship Gymnastics is the best "gymnastics teaching" book I've ever read.

Another Brilliant Work from Dr Gerald George... This book is well written, informative, and a necessity for all gymnastics coaches. It discusses theory and practical application. The information can be used immediately. The illustrations are very clear and accurate. I have been coaching since 1978 and have produced many successful gymnasts. I am also a gymnastics author and have educated thousands of gymnastics coaches, gymnasts, physical education teachers, and fitness experts. Other than my gymnastics books and training programs, Championship Gymnastics is the ONLY gymnastics book that I would highly recommend for gymnastics coaches.

An excellent starting point

This is an excellent Chumash but it must be made clear that it is a "beginners guide", a starting point to the Torah. If you only want one Chumash in your library then make this the one.
Being a convenient, easy to read, concise one volume Chumash, the author had no choice but to narrow his commentary. After all, you cannot fit the waters of the ocean into a bucket. One must understand that the commentary does not even scratch the service of inner meaning of the text. It is simply a minimum line or put in a positive way, a springboard to further study.
So I suppose it is only fair of me to suggest another Chumash that one can advance to. "The Call of the Torah" by Rabbi Elie Munk is a five-volume set also published by Artscroll. Rav Munk combines both the classic commentaries of Rash"i, Ramba"m, Ramba"n etc, the "peshat" of his teacher Rav Hirsh and also the more hidden Torah of Kabbalah. This as well as his own beautiful and intelligent ideas, adds up to a Chumash that is a must for all Jews that wish to delve just that little bit deeper.

Fast becoming the new standard Chumash in synagogues

I used to use the Hertz Chumash that is common in most Conservative and Orthodox synagogues. Now when I am in synagogue, I go looking for a Stone Chumash, which I find far superior to Hertz. Unfortunately, others do as well, and the supply is not yet up to the demand. Now I own my own.
Not only is the Stone Chumash an easy-to-read translation with fascinating commentaries, it also includes various tables and charts, such as geneology charts and timelines of events, and drawings of items in the Mishkan, which help give the Torah more meaning. For those who want more depth, the Hebrew text includes all of the traditional commentators in the margins.

Profound and Magnificent

The Stone Edition Chumash includes the Hebrew text of the Pentateuch (the Torah), Onkelos's Aramaic translation and an English translation, commentary, charts, Haftaroth, Megilloth and other relevant synagogue readings.
The Hebrew text is clearly pointed and easy to read, beside it is Onkelos's translation, beneath it is Rashi's (Rabbi Shlomo Yitschaki's, 11th c.) commentary (in Hebrew, "Rashi" script). On the opposite page is the English translation and commentary. The translation is accurate, modern, clear and mellifluous. Marginal notes here introduce, summarise and set the context. The English commentary is quite extensive, inspiring and captivating, and carefully selecting from and integrating the classical medieval commentaries of Rashi, the Ramban and Ibn Ezra, among others, and many, many modern, Orthodox sages. The word of God is the concern here, and its illumination is pure and profound.
The book is also aesthetically beautiful in every respect.
This edition is, in my opinion, the best single volume translation of and commentary on the Torah available.
