About the Author
Larry Gomez began his study of percussion at a young age, working with various teachers to learn about the world’s different traditions and instrumentation. He continued his studies following an interest in philosophy that led him to schools from Virginia to Greece. He later traveled to India to continue his study of Indian percussion and to further investigate eastern philosophy. Upon returning to the US, he received a juris doctorate with a concentration in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School. His passion for drums and philosophy provided the impetus to begin this project, which resulted in The Nomads’ Labyrinth. He currently resides with his family in Brooklyn, New York.
